It was narrated that Safwan bin Umayyah said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, they are saying that no one will enter Paradise except a Muhajir. ' He said: There is no more emigration (Hijrah) after the Conquest of Makkah, rather there is Jihad and intention. When you are called to moblize (for Jihad) then do so.
صفوان بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ جنت میں مہاجر کے علاوہ کوئی داخل نہیں ہو گا، آپ نے فرمایا: ”فتح مکہ کے بعد اب ہجرت نہیں ہے ۱؎، البتہ جہاد ۲؎ اور نیت ہے، لہٰذا جب تمہیں جہاد کے لیے بلایا جائے تو نکل پڑو“۔
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah said on the Day of the Conquest (of Makkah): There is no more emigration (Hijrah), rather there is Jihad and intention. When you are called to moblize (for Jihad) then do so. '
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فتح مکہ کے روز فرمایا: ”ہجرت تو ( باقی ) نہیں رہی البتہ جہاد اور نیت ہے، لہٰذا جب تمہیں جہاد کے لیے بلایا جائے تو نکل پڑو“۔
It was narrated that Nu'aim bin Dijajah said: I heard 'Umar bin Al-Khattab say: 'There is no more emigration (Hijrah) after the death of the Messenger of Allah. '
عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی موت کے بعد کوئی ہجرت نہیں۔
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Waqdan As-Sa'di said: We came in a delegation to the messenger of Allah, each of us with a question to ask him. I was the last of them to come in to the Messenger of Allah, and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have left people behind me, and they are saying that emigration (Hijrah) has ceased.' He said: 'Emigration will not cease so long as the disbelievers are being fought. '
عبداللہ بن وقدان سعدی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے۔ ہم میں سے ہر ایک کی کچھ غرض تھی، میں سب سے آخر میں آپ کے پاس داخل ہوا اور عرض کیا کہ اللہ کے رسول! میں اپنے پیچھے کچھ ایسے لوگوں کو چھوڑ کر آ رہا ہوں جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہجرت ختم ہو گئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”ہجرت اس وقت تک ختم نہیں ہو سکتی جب تک کفار و مشرکین سے جنگ ہوتی رہے گی“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin As-Sa'di said: We came in a delegation to the Messenger of Allah and my companions entered and asked their questions. I was the last of them to enter, and he said: 'What is you question?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, when will emigration end?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Emigration will not cease so long as the disbelievers are being fought. '
عبداللہ بن سعدی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے۔ میرے ساتھی آپ کے پاس داخل ہوئے تو آپ نے ان کی ضرورت پوری کی، میں سب سے آخر میں داخل ہوا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”تمہاری کیا ضرورت ہے؟“ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہجرت کب ختم ہو گی؟ فرمایا: ”جب تک کفار سے جنگ ہوتی رہے گی ہجرت ختم نہ ہو گی“۔
Jarir said: I came to the Prophet and said to him: 'I pledge to you to hear and obey in what I like and what I dislike.' The Prophet said: 'Can you do that, O Jarir,' or, 'Are you able for that?' He said: Say: As much as I can.' So he accepted my pledge (for that), and that I be sincere toward every Muslim.
جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر عرض کیا: میں آپ سے ہر اس چیز میں جو مجھے پسند ہو اور اس میں جو ناپسند ہو سمع و طاعت ( سننے اور حکم بجا لانے ) پر بیعت کرتا ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”جریر! کیا تم اس کی استطاعت رکھتے ہو، یا طاقت رکھتے ہو؟“ آپ نے فرمایا: ”کہو ان چیزوں میں جن کو میں کر سکتا ہوں، چنانچہ آپ نے مجھ سے بیعت لی، نیز ہر مسلمان کی خیر خواہی پر بیعت لی“۔
It was narrated that Jarir said: I pledged to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to perform Salah, pay the Zakah, be sincere toward every Muslim and forsake the idolaters.
جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نماز قائم کرنے، زکاۃ ادا کرنے، ہر مسلمان کے ساتھ خیر خواہی کرنے اور کفار و مشرکین سے الگ تھلگ رہنے پر بیعت کی ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Jarir said: I came to the Messenger of Allah and he mentioned something similar.
جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا …، پھر اسی جیسی حدیث بیان کی۔
Jarir said: I came to the Prophet when he was accepting (the people's) pledge, and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, extend you hand so that I may give you my pledge, and state your terms, for you know best.' He said: 'I accept you pledge that you will worship Allah, establish Salah, pay the Zakah, be sincere toward the Muslims, and forsake the idolaters.
جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، آپ بیعت لے رہے تھے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہاتھ پھیلائیے تاکہ میں بیعت کروں، اور آپ شرط بتائیے کیونکہ آپ زیادہ جانتے ہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”میں تم سے اس بات پر بیعت لیتا ہوں کہ تم اللہ کی عبادت کرو گے، نماز قائم کرو گے، زکاۃ ادا کرو گے، مسلمانوں کے ساتھ خیر خواہی اور بھلائی کرو گے اور کفار و مشرکین سے الگ تھلگ رہو گے“۔
It was narrated that Abu Idris Al-Khawlani said: I heard 'Ubadah bin As-Samit say: 'I pledged to the Messenger of Allah among a group of people, and he said: I accept your pledge that you will not associate anything with Allah, you will not steal, you will not have unlawful sexual relations, you will not kill you children, you will not utter slander, fabricating from between your hands and feet, and you will not disobey me when commanded with goodness. Whoever fulfills (this pledge), his reward will be with Allah, and whoever commits any of these actions and is punished for it, it will be purification for him. Whoever (commits any of these action then) Allah conceals him, it is up to Allah; if He wills He will forgive him, and if He wills, He will punish him. '
عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے ایک جماعت کے ساتھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی، آپ نے فرمایا: ”میں تم لوگوں سے اس بات پر بیعت لیتا ہوں کہ تم اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرو گے، نہ چوری کرو گے، نہ زنا کرو گے، اور نہ اپنے بال بچوں کو قتل کرو گے، نہ ہی من گھڑت کسی طرح کا بہتان لگاؤ گے، کسی بھی نیک کام میں میری خلاف ورزی نہیں کرو گے، تم میں سے جس نے یہ باتیں پوری کیں تو اس کا اجر و ثواب اللہ کے ذمہ ہے اور جس نے اس میں سے کسی چیز میں غلطی کی ۱؎ پھر اسے اس کی سزا دی گئی تو وہی اس کے لیے کفارہ ( پاکیزگی ) ہے اور جسے اللہ نے چھپا لیا تو اب اس کا معاملہ اللہ کے پاس ہو گا۔ چاہے تو عذاب دے اور چاہے تو معاف کر دے“۔
It was narrated that Umm 'Atiyyah said: When I wanted to give pledge to the Messenger of Allah, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, women helped me (in wailing for the dead) during the Jahiliyyah; shall I go and help her (in wailing) and then come to you and give you my oath of allegiance?' He said: 'Go and help her.' So I went and helped her, then I came, and gave my pledge to the Messenger of Allah.
ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ
جب میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کرنی چاہی تو میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ایک عورت نے زمانہ جاہلیت میں نوحہ ( سوگ منانے ) میں میری مدد کی تھی تو مجھے اس کے یہاں جا کر نوحہ میں اس کی مدد کرنی چاہیئے، پھر میں آ کر آپ سے بیعت کر لوں گی۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جاؤ اس کی مدد کرو“، چنانچہ میں نے جا کر اس کی مدد کی، پھر آ کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Umm 'Atiyyah said: The Messenger of Allah accepted our pledge that we would not wail (for the dead).
ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے بیعت لی کہ ہم نوحہ نہیں کریں گے۔
It was narrated that Umaimah bint Ruqaiqah said: I came to the Prophet with some other Ansari women to give our pledge. We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we give you our pledge that we will not associate anything with Allah, we will not steal, we will not have unlawful sexual relations, we will not utter slander, fabricating from between our hands and feet, and we will not disobey you in goodness.' He said: 'As much as you can and are able.' We said: 'Allah and His Messenger are more merciful toward us. Com, let us give you our pledge, O Messenger of Allah! The Messenger of Allah said: 'I do not shake hands with women. Rather my word to a hundred women is like my word to one woman. '
امیمہ بنت رقیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ
میں انصار کی چند عورتوں کے ساتھ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئی تاکہ ہم بیعت کریں، ہم نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم آپ سے بیعت کرتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہیں کریں گے، نہ چوری کریں گے، نہ زنا کریں گے، اور نہ ایسی کوئی الزام تراشی کریں گے جسے ہم خود اپنے سے گھڑیں، نہ کسی معروف ( بھلے کام ) میں ہم آپ کی نافرمانی کریں گے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس میں جس کی تمہیں استطاعت ہو یا قدرت ہو“، ہم نے عرض کیا: اللہ اور اس کے رسول ہم پر زیادہ مہربان ہیں، آئیے ہم آپ سے بیعت کریں، اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے فرمایا: ”میں عورتوں سے مصافحہ نہیں کرتا، میرا سو عورتوں سے کہنا ایک عورت سے کہنے کی طرح ہے یا ایک ایک عورت سے کہنے کے مانند ہے“۔
It was narrted from a man from Al Ash-Sharid, who was called 'Amr, that his father said: Among the delegation of Thaqif there was a man who suffered from leprosy. The Prophet sent word to him saying: 'Go back, for I have accepted your pledge. '
شرید رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ثقیف کے وفد میں ایک کوڑھی تھا، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے کہلا بھیجا کہ ”لوٹ جاؤ، میں نے تمہاری بیعت لے لی“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Al-Hirmas bin Ziyad said: I stretched forth my hand to the Prophet for him to accept my pledge, when I was a child, but he did not accept my pledge.
ہرماس بن زیاد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے اپنا ہاتھ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف بڑھایا تاکہ آپ مجھ سے بیعت لے لیں، میں ایک نابالغ لڑکا تھا تو آپ نے مجھ سے بیعت نہیں لی ۱؎۔
It was narrated that jabir said: A slave came and pledged to the Prophet to emigrate, and the Prophet did not realize that he was a slave. Then his master came looking for him. The Prophet said: 'Sell him to me,' and he bought him for two black slaves. Then he did not accept the pledge from anyone until he asked: 'Is he a slave? '
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ایک غلام نے آ کر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ہجرت پر بیعت کی، آپ یہ نہیں سمجھ رہے تھے کہ یہ غلام ہے، پھر اس کا مالک اسے ڈھونڈتے ہوئے آیا، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اسے میرے ہاتھ بیچ دو“، چنانچہ آپ نے اسے دو کالے غلاموں کے بدلے خرید لیا، پھر آپ نے کسی سے بیعت نہیں لی یہاں تک کہ آپ اس سے معلوم کر لیتے کہ وہ غلام تو نہیں ہے ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that: a Bedouin pledged Islam to the Messenger of Allah, then the Bedouin was stricken with the fever in Al-Madinah. So he came to the Messenger of Allah and said: O Messenger of Allah, cancel my pledge, but he refused. Then he came to him again and said: Cancel my pledge, but he refused. Then he came to him again and said: Cancel my pledge, but he refused. Then the Bedouin left (Al-Madinah) and the Messenger of Allah sadi: Al-Madinah his like the bellows; it expels its dross and brightness its good.
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
ایک اعرابی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسلام پر بیعت کی، پھر اس کو مدینے میں بخار آ گیا، تو اس نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میری بیعت توڑ دیجئیے ۱؎، آپ نے انکار کیا، اس نے پھر آپ کے پاس آ کر کہا: میری بیعت توڑ دیجئیے، آپ نے انکار کیا، تو اعرابی چلا گیا ۲؎، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مدینہ تو بھٹی کی طرح ہے جو اپنی گندگی کو نکال پھینکتا ہے اور پاکیزہ کو اور خالص بنا دیتا ہے“۔
It was narrated from Salamah bin Al-Akwa ' that he entered upon Al-Hajjaj who said: O son of Al-Akwa, you have turned on your heels (i.e., deserted Islam) by staying in the desert with the Bedouins. He said: No; the Messenger of Allah gave me permission to stay in the desert with the Bedouins.
سلمہ بن الاکوع رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
وہ حجاج کے پاس گئے تو اس نے کہا: ابن الاکوع! کیا آپ ( ہجرت کی جگہ سے ) ایڑیوں کے بل لوٹ گئے، اور ایک ایسا کلمہ کہا جس کے معنی ہیں کہ آپ بادیہ ( دیہات ) چلے گئے۔ انہوں نے کہا: نہیں، مجھے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بادیہ ( دیہات ) میں رہنے کی اجازت دی تھی ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: We used to pledge to the Messenger of Allah to hear and obey, the he said: 'In as much as you can. '
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سمع و طاعت ( سننے اور حکم بجا لانے ) پر بیعت کرتے تھے، پھر آپ فرماتے تھے: ”جتنی تمہاری طاقت ہے“ ۱؎۔
Ibn 'Umar said: When we gave our pledge to the Messenger of Allah to hear and obey, he would say to us: 'In as much as you can .
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
جس وقت ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سمع و طاعت ( سننے اور حکم بجا لانے ) پر بیعت کرتے تھے تو آپ ہم سے فرماتے تھے: ”جتنی تمہاری طاقت ہے“۔
