It was narrated that 'Adiyy bin Hatim said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I release my dog and I catch the game, but I cannot find anything to slaughter it with, so I slaughter it with a Marwah or a stick,; He said: 'Shed the blood with whatever you wish, and say the name of Allah. '
عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں اپنا کتا چھوڑتا، اور شکار کو پا لیتا ہوں، میں پھر کوئی ایسی چیز نہیں پاتا جس سے میں ذبح کروں تو کیا میں دھاردار پتھر اور لکڑی سے ذبح کر سکتا ہوں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جس چیز سے چاہو خون بہاؤ اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لو“۔
It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: A man form among the Ansar had a she-camel which used to graze in front of Uhud. Something happened to it, and he slaughtered it with a stake, - (Ayyub, one of the narrators, said) I said to Zaid:' A stake of wood or of iron? He said No of wood. - Then he went to the Prophet and asked him, and he told him to eat it. (Sahih )
ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
انصار میں سے ایک شخص کی ایک اونٹنی تھی، جو احد پہاڑ کی طرف چرتی تھی، اسے عارضہ لاحق ہو گیا، تو اس نے اسے کھونٹی سے ذبح کر دیا۔ میں نے زید بن اسلم سے کہا: لکڑی کی کھونٹی یا لوہے کی؟ کہا: لوہا نہیں، بلکہ لکڑی کی کھونٹی سے، پھر اس انصاری نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر آپ سے پوچھا تو آپ نے اسے کھانے کا حکم دیا۔
It was narrated from Rafi bin Khadij that the Messenger of Allah said: If the blood is shed and the name of Allah is mentioned, then eat, unless (it is slaughtered) with teeth or nails.
رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس چیز سے ( جانور کا ) خون بہہ جائے اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو تو اسے کھاؤ، سوائے اس کے جو دانت اور ناخن سے ذبح کیا گیا ہو“۔
It was narrated that Rafi bin Khadij said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah we are going to meet the enemy tomorrow and we do not have any knives.' The Messenger of Allah said: If the blood is shed and the name of Allah is mentioned, then eat, unless (it is slaughtered (with teeth or nails, and I will tell you about that. As for teeth, they are bones, and as for nails, they are the knives of the Ethiopians. ' (Sahih )
رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم کل دشمنوں سے ملیں گے اور ہمارے پاس چھریاں نہیں ہیں، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”جس چیز سے ( جانور کا ) خون بہہ جائے اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو ) تو اسے کھاؤ، جب تک کہ وہ آلہ دانت یا ناخن نہ ہو، اور جلد ہی تمہیں اس سلسلے میں بتاؤں گا، رہا دانت تو وہ ہڈی ہے اور رہا ناخن تو وہ حبشہ والوں کی چھری ہے“۔
It was narrated that Shaddad bin Aws said: There are two things that I memorized from the Messenger of Allah, who said: 'Allah has decreed proficiency in all things, so when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spare suffering to the animal he slaughters.' (Sahih)
شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے دو باتیں یاد کی ہیں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے تم پر ہر چیز میں احسان ( اچھا سلوک کرنا ) فرض کیا ہے، تو جب تم قتل کرو تو اچھی طرح قتل کرو، اور جب تم ذبح کرو تو اچھی طرح ذبح کرو، اور تم میں سے ہر ایک کو چاہیئے کہ اپنی چھری تیز کر لے اور اپنے جانور کو آرام پہنچائے ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Asma bint Abi Bakr said: We slaughtered (Naharna) a horse during the time of the Messenger of Allah and ate it . (Sahih )
اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ
ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں ایک گھوڑا ذبح کیا پھر ہم نے اسے کھایا ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Zaid bin Thabit that: a wolf attacked a sheep so they slaughtered it with a Marwah, and the Prophet allowed it to be eaten.
زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
ایک بھیڑیئے نے ایک بکری میں دانت گاڑ دئیے، لوگوں نے اسے دھاردار پتھر سے ذبح کیا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے کھانے کی اجازت دی۔
It was narrated from Abu Ushara' that his father said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, is slaughtering only in the throat or upper chest? He said: 'If you stab it in the thigh, that will suffice, '(Daif)
ابو العشراء کے والد (مالک دارمی رضی اللہ عنہ) کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! کیا ذبح «ذکاۃ» صرف حلق اور سینے میں ہو گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اگر تم اس کی ران میں بھی کونچ دو تو کافی ہے“۔
It was narrated that Rafi said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we are going to meet the enemy tomorrow, and we do not have any knives.' He said: 'If the blood is shed and the name of Allah is mentioned, then eat, unlike (it is slaughtered) with teeth or nails. Then the Messenger of Allah got some spoils of war and a camel ran away. A man shot and arrow at it and stopped it. He (the Prophet) said; 'Some of these animals - or 'these camels'- 'are untamed like wild animals, so if one of them goes out of your control, do the same. ' (Sahih )
رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم کل دشمن سے ملیں گے اور ہمارے پاس چھریاں نہیں ہیں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”دانت اور ناخن کے علاوہ جس کسی آلہ سے ( جانور کا ) خون بہہ جائے اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو تو اسے کھاؤ“، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کچھ اونٹ اور غنیمت کا مال ملا، ان میں سے ایک اونٹ بدک کر بھاگ گیا، ایک شخص نے اسے تیر مارا، جس سے وہ رک گیا، آپ نے فرمایا: ”ان جانوروں میں، یا یوں فرمایا: ان اونٹوں میں، جنگل کے وحشی جانوروں کی طرح بعض بدکنے والے ہوتے ہیں تو جو تم کو ان میں سے کوئی ( پکڑنے میں ) تھکا دے، تو اس کے ساتھ اسی طرح کرو“۔
It was narrated that Rafi bin Khadij said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we are going to meet the enemy tomorrow, and we do not have any knives.' He said: If the blood is shed and the name of Allah is mentioned, then eat, unlike (it is slaughtered) with teeth or nails and I will tell you about that. As for teeth, they are bones, and as for nails, they are the knives of the Ethiopians,; We acquired some spoils of war including sheep or camels, and a camel ran away, so a man shot an arrow at it an stopped it. رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم لوگ کل دشمن سے ملیں گے، اور ہمارے پاس چھریاں نہیں ہیں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”جس آلہ سے خون بہہ جائے اور وہ دانت ناخن نہ ہو اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو تو اسے کھاؤ، اور جلد ہی میں تمہیں اس کا سبب بتاتا ہوں، رہا دانت تو وہ ہڈی ہے اور رہا ناخن تو وہ حبشہ والوں کی چھری ہے“، پھر مال غنیمت میں ہمیں کچھ بکریاں یا اونٹ ملے، ان میں سے ایک اونٹ بدک کر بھاگ گیا، ایک شخص نے ایک تیر اسے مارا جس سے وہ رک گیا، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ان اونٹوں میں کچھ جنگلی وحشیوں کی طرح بدکنے والے ہیں، لہٰذا جب تم کو ان میں سے کوئی تھکا دے تو اس کے ساتھ ایسا ہی کرو“۔
It was narrated that Shaddad bin Aws said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has decreed proficiency in all things, so when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spare suffering to the animal he slaughters (Sahih)
شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہر چیز میں احسان ( اچھا سلوک کرنا ) فرض کیا ہے، لہٰذا جب تم قتل کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو اور جب ذبح کرو تو اچھی طرح ذبح کرو اور جب تم ذبح کرو تو اپنی چھری کو تیز کر لیا کرو اور ذبیحہ کو ( ذبح کرتے وقت ) آرام پہنچاؤ“۔
It was narrated that Shaddad bin Aws said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah has decreed proficiency in all things, so when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spare suffering to the animal he slaughters.'
شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے احسان ( اچھے سلوک اور برتاؤ ) کو ہر چیز میں فرض کیا ہے، لہٰذا جب تم قتل کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو، اور جب ذبح کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو، اور تم اپنی چھریاں تیز کر لیا کرو اور جانور کو ( ذبح کرتے وقت ) آرام پہنچاؤ“۔
It was narrated that Shadad bin Aws said: I heard two things from the Messenger of Allah He said 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, ahs decreed proficiency in all things, so when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spear suffering to the animal he slaughter. (Sahih )
شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سن کر دو باتیں یاد رکھیں ہیں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہر چیز میں احسان ( اچھے سلوک اور برتاؤ ) فرض کیا ہے، لہٰذا جب تم قتل کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو، اور جب تم ذبح کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو اور تم اپنی چھریاں تیز کر لو تاکہ تم اپنے جانور کو آرام دے سکو“۔

شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
دو چیزیں ہیں جو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سن کر یاد کی ہیں: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہر چیز میں احسان ( اچھے سلوک اور برتاؤ ) کو فرض کیا ہے، لہٰذا جب تم قتل کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو، اور جب تم ذبح کرو تو اچھی طرح کرو۔ تم اپنی چھریاں تیز کر لو اور جانور کو آرام دو“۔
Anas said: The Messenger of Allah sacrificed two horned, Amlah rams, saying: 'Allah Akbar and pronouncing the Name of Allah. I saw him slaughtering them with his own hand, and placing his foot on their sides. I said: You heard it from Him? He said: Yes. (Sahih )
انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سینگ دار دو چتکبرے مینڈھوں کی قربانی کی، آپ «اللہ اکبر» اور «بسم اللہ» پڑھ رہے تھے، میں نے دیکھا کہ آپ انہیں اپنے ہاتھ سے ذبح کر رہے ہیں اور اپنا پاؤں ان ( کی گردن ) کے پہلو پر رکھے ہوئے ہیں۔ ( شعبہ کہتے ہیں ) میں قتادہ نے عرض کیا: کیا آپ نے اسے انس سے سنا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہاں۔
Anas bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah used to sacrifice two pronounce the name of Allah and say: 'Allah Akabar,' and I saw him slaughtering them with his own hand, and placing his foot on their sides (Sahih )
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دو چتکبرے سینگ دار مینڈھے ذبح کرتے اور آپ «بسم اللہ» پڑھتے اور تکبیر بلند کرتے ۱؎، میں نے آپ کو دیکھا کہ آپ اپنے ہاتھ سے انہیں ذبح کر رہے ہیں اور آپ کا پیر ان ( کی گردن ) کے پہلو پر ہے۔
It was narrated that Anas said: I saw him: - meaning the Prophet - slaughtering them with his own hand, and placing his foot on their sides, pronouncing the name of Allah and saying: 'Allah Akbar,' (sacrificing) two horned, Amlah rams. (Sahih )
انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے آپ کو یعنی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ اپنے ہاتھ سے دو سینگ دار اور چتکبرے مینڈھے ذبح کر رہے ہیں، اور آپ کا پیر ان ( کی گردن ) کے پہلو پر ہے۔ آپ ( ذبح کرتے ہوئے ) «بسم اللہ، اللہ اکبر» کہہ رہے ہیں۔
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik told them that: the Prophet sacrificed two Amlah horned rams, putting his foot on their sides and slaughtering them pronouncing the name of Allah, and saying: Allahu Akbar. (Sahih )
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دو مینڈھوں کی قربانی کی جو سینگ دار اور چتکبرے تھے۔ آپ ان ( کی گردن ) کے پہلو پر قدم رکھ کر انہیں ذبح کر رہے تھے اور «بسم اللہ، اللہ اکبر» کہہ رہے تھے۔
It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that: the Messenger of Allah slaughtered some of his sacrificial animals with his won hand, and someone else slaughtered some of them. (Sahih )
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے ہاتھ سے اپنی بعض اونٹنیوں کو نحر کیا اور بعض کو دوسروں نے نحر کیا۔
It was narrated that Asma said: We slaughtered (Naharna) a horse during the time of Messenger of Allah and ate it. In his hadith Qutaibah (one of the narrators) said: And we ate its meat. (Sahih ) 'Abdah bin sulaiman contradicted him.
اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ
ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ایک گھوڑا نحر کیا اور اسے کھایا۔ قتیبہ نے ( «فاکلناہ» کے بجائے ) «فاکلنا لحمہ» ”پھر ہم نے اس کا گوشت کھایا“ کہا۔ عبدہ بن سلیمان نے سفیان کی مخالفت کی ہے اور اسے یوں روایت کیا ہے۔
