It was narrated from abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina; no one who steals is a believe at the moment when he is stealing; no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it; and no robber is a believer at the moment when he is robbing and the people are looking on.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کوئی شخص ایمان رکھتے ہوئے زنا نہیں کرتا، کوئی شخص ایمان رکھتے ہوئے چوری نہیں کرتا، کوئی شخص ایمان رکھتے ہوئے شراب نہیں پیتا اور نہ ہی وہ ایمان رکھتے ہوئے کوئی ایسی بڑی لوٹ کرتا ہے جس کی طرف لوگوں کی نظریں اٹھتی ہوں“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated from abu Hurairah that the Prophet - and Ahmad said in his Hadith: The Messenger of Allah said: 'No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina; no one who steals is a believer at the moment when he is stealing; no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it; but repentance is available to him after that.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب زنا کرنے والا زنا کرتا ہے تو زنا کے وقت اس کا ایمان نہیں رہتا، جب چوری کرنے والا چوری کرتا ہے تو چوری کے وقت اس کا ایمان نہیں رہتا۔ جب شراب پینے والا شراب پیتا ہے تو پیتے وقت اس کا ایمان نہیں رہتا، اس کے بعد بھی اب تک اس کی توبہ کا دروازہ کھلا ہوا ہے“۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina; no one who steals is a believer at the moment when he is stealing; no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it. - And he mentioned a fourth but I (the narrator) have forgotten it - When he does that the yoke of Islam is shed from his neck, but if he repents, Allah accepts his repentance.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
جب کوئی زنا کرتا ہے تو زنا کے وقت وہ مومن نہیں رہتا، چوری کرتا ہے تو بھی مومن نہیں رہتا، شراب پیتا ہے تو بھی مومن نہیں رہتا۔ ( راوی کہتا ہے ) پھر چوتھی چیز بیان کی جو میں بھول گیا، جب وہ یہ سب کرتا ہے تو وہ اپنے گلے سے اسلام کا قلادہ نکال پھینکتا ہے، پھر اگر وہ توبہ کرتا ہے تو اللہ اس کی توبہ قبول کرتا ہے۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah said; 'Allah curses the thief who steals an egg and had his hand cut off, and who steals a rope and has his hand cut off.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ کی لعنت نازل ہو چوری کرنے والے پر، انڈا چراتا ہے تو اس کا ہاتھ کاٹا جاتا ہے اور رسی چراتا ہے تو اس کا ہاتھ کاٹا جاتا ہے“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated from An-Nu'man bin Bashir that: a group of the Kala'iyin complaned to him about some people who had stolen some goods, shoe detained them for several days, and then he let them go. They came and said: You let them go without any pressure (to make them admit to their crime) or beating? An-Nu'man said: What do you want? If you wish, I will beat them, and if Allah brings back your goods thereby, all well and good. Otherwise I will take retaliation from your backs (by beating you) likewise. They said: is this your ruling? He said: This is the ruling of Allah and His Messenger (Daif)
نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ
ان کے پاس قبیلہ کلاع کے کچھ لوگ مقدمہ لائے کہ کچھ بنکروں نے سامان چرا لیا ہے، انہوں نے کچھ دنوں تک ان کو قید میں رکھا پھر چھوڑ دیا، تو وہ لوگ ان کے پاس آئے اور کہا: آپ نے انہیں کوئی تکلیف پہنچائے اور مارے بغیر چھوڑ دیا؟ نعمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: تم کیا چاہتے ہو؟ کہو تو ان کو ماروں؟ اگر ان کے پاس تمہارا مال نکل آیا تو بہتر ہے ورنہ اسی قدر میں تمہاری پیٹھ پر ماروں گا؟ وہ بولے: کیا یہ آپ کا حکم ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: یہ اللہ تعالیٰ اور اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا حکم ہے ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Bahz bin Hakim, from his father, from his grandfather, that: the Messenger of Allah detained some people who were under suspicion
بہز بن حکیم کے دادا معاویہ بن حیدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کچھ لوگوں کو ایک الزام میں قید میں رکھا۔
It was narrated from Bahz bin Hakim, from his father, from his grandfather, that: the Messenger of Allah detained a man who was under suspicion, and then he let him go. (Hssan)
بہز بن حکیم کے دادا معاویہ بن حیدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کو ایک الزام میں قید میں رکھا، پھر اسے رہا کر دیا۔
It was narrated from abu Umayah Al-Makhzumi that: a thief who confused to a crime but with whom no stolen goods has been found, was brought to the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah said to him: I do not think that you stole anything. He He said: Yes I did. He said: Take him and cut off his hands, then bring him here, So they cut off his hand then they brought him to him. He said to him; Say: I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent to Him. He said: I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent to Him. He said:: O Allah, accept his repentance. (Daif)
ابوامیہ مخزومی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک چور پکڑ کر لایا گیا جس نے اقبال جرم کر لیا لیکن اس کے پاس کوئی سامان نہیں ملا، تو آپ نے اس سے فرمایا: ”میں نہیں سمجھتا کہ تم نے چوری کی ہے“، اس نے کہا: نہیں، میں نے چوری کی ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اسے لے جاؤ، اس کے ہاتھ کاٹ دو، پھر اسے میرے پاس لے کر آؤ“، لوگوں نے اس کے ہاتھ کاٹے اور اسے لے کر آپ کے پاس آئے، تو آپ نے اس سے فرمایا: ”کہو، میں اللہ تعالیٰ سے مغفرت طلب کرتا ہوں اور توبہ کرتا ہوں“، اس نے کہا: میں اللہ تعالیٰ سے مغفرت طلب کرتا ہوں اور توبہ کرتا ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اے اللہ اس کی توبہ قبول کر“۔
It was narrated from Safwan bin Umayyah, that: a man stole a Burdah of his, so he brought him before the Messenger of Allah, who ordered that his hand be cut off. He said: O Messenger of Allah, I will let him have it. He said: Abu Wahb! Why didn't you do that before you brought him to us? And the Messenger of Allah had (the man's) hand cut off.
صفوان بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ایک شخص نے ان کی چادر چرا لی، وہ اسے لے کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، آپ نے ہاتھ کاٹنے کا حکم دیا، تو وہ بولے: اللہ کے رسول! میں نے اسے معاف کر دیا ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”ابو وہب! تم نے اسے ہمارے پاس لانے سے پہلے ہی کیوں نہ معاف کر دیا؟“ چنانچہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کا ہاتھ کاٹ دیا ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Safwan bin Umayyah that: a man stole his Burdah, so he brought him before the Prophet, who ordered that his hand be cut off. He said: O Messenger of Allah, I will let him have it. He said: O Abu Wahb! Why didn't you do that before you brought him to me? And the Messenger of Allah had (the man's) hand cut off.
صفوان بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ایک شخص نے ایک چادر چرائی، وہ اسے لے کر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، آپ نے اس کا ہاتھ کاٹنے کا حکم دیا تو وہ بولے: اللہ کے رسول! میں نے اسے معاف کر دیا ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”ابو وہب! اسے میرے پاس لانے سے پہلے ہی تم نے کیوں نہ معاف کر دیا؟“ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کا ہاتھ کاٹ دیا۔
Ata' bin Abi Rabah narrated that: a man stole a garment, and was brought before the Messenger of Allah, who order that his hand be cut off. The man said: O Messenger of Allah, he can keep it. He said: Why (did you not say that) before now?
عطا بن ابی رباح کہتے ہیں کہ
ایک شخص نے ایک کپڑا چرایا، اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لایا گیا، آپ نے ہاتھ کاٹنے کا حکم دیا ( جس کا کپڑا تھا ) وہ شخص بولا: اللہ کے رسول! وہ اسی کے لیے ہے ۱؎ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایسا اس سے پہلے ہی کیوں نہ کیا“۔
It was narrated from Safwan bin Umayyah that: he circumambulated theKa'bah and prayed, then he rolled up a Rid' of his and placed it beneath his head, and slept. A thief came and slid it out from beneath his head and took it. He brought him to the Prophet and said: This man stole my Rida. The Prophet said to him: Did you steal this man's Rida? He said: Yes. He said: Take him away and cut his hand off. Safwan said: I* did not want to have his hand cut off for my Rida'. He said: Why (did you not say that) before now?
صفوان بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
انہوں نے بیت اللہ کا طواف کیا، پھر نماز پڑھی، پھر اپنی چادر لپیٹ کر سر کے نیچے رکھی اور سو گئے، ایک چور آیا اور ان کے سر کے نیچے سے چادر کھینچی، انہوں نے اسے پکڑ لیا اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لے کر آئے اور بولے: اس نے میری چادر چرائی ہے۔ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے فرمایا: کیا تم نے ان کی چادر چرائی ہے؟ وہ بولا: ہاں، آپ نے ( دو آدمیوں سے ) فرمایا: اسے لے جاؤ اور اس کا ہاتھ کاٹ دو۔ صفوان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میرا مقصد یہ نہ تھا کہ میری چادر کے سلسلے میں اس کا ہاتھ کاٹا جائے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: ”یہ کام پہلے ہی کیوں نہ کر لیا“۔ اشعث نے عبدالملک کے برخلاف ( ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی حدیث سے ) اس کو روایت کیا ہے۔
It narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: Safwina was slleping in the Masjid with his Rida' beneath him, and it was stolen. He got up, and the man had gone, but he caught up with him, and took him to the prophet, who ordered that his hand be cut off. Safwan said; 'O Messenger of Allah, my Rida 'is not worth cutting off a man's hand for. 'He said 'Why did you not say that before you brought him to me
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
صفوان رضی اللہ عنہ مسجد میں سو رہے تھے، ان کی چادر ان کے سر کے نیچے تھی، کسی نے اسے چرایا تو وہ اٹھ گئے، اتنے میں آدمی جا چکا تھا، انہوں نے اسے پا لیا اور اسے پکڑ کر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لائے۔ آپ نے اس کے ہاتھ کاٹنے کا حکم دیا، صفوان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میری چادر اس قیمت کی نہ تھی کہ کسی شخص کا ہاتھ کاٹا جائے ۱؎۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تو ہمارے پاس لانے سے پہلے ہی ایسا کیوں نہ کر لیا“۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن نسائی کہتے ہیں: اشعث ضعیف ہیں۔
It was knarrated that Safwan bin Umayyah said: I was sleeping in the Masjid on a Khmaishah of mine that was worth thirty dirhams, and a man came and stole it from me. The man was caught and taken to the Prophet, who ordered that his hand be cut off. I came to him and said: Will you cut off his hand for the sake of only thirty Dirhams? I will sell it to him on credit. He said: Why did you not say this before you brought him to me?
صفوان بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں مسجد میں اپنی ایک چادر پر سو رہا تھا، جس کی قیمت تیس درہم تھی، اتنے میں ایک شخص آیا اور مجھ سے چادر اچک لے گیا، پھر وہ آدمی پکڑا گیا اور اسے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لایا گیا، آپ نے حکم دیا کہ اس کا ہاتھ کاٹا جائے، تو میں نے آپ کے پاس آ کر عرض کیا: کیا آپ اس کا ہاتھ صرف تیس درہم کی وجہ سے کاٹ دیں گے؟ میں چادر اس کے ہاتھ بیچ دیتا ہوں اور اس کی قیمت ادھار کر لیتا ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ایسا تم نے اسے ہمارے پاس لانے سے پہلے کیوں نہیں کیا“۔
It was narrated from Safwan bin Umayyah that: a Khamisah was stolen from beneath his head while he slept in the Masjid of the Prophet. He caught there thief and brought him to the Prophet, who ordered that his hand be cut off. Safwan said: Are you going to cut off his hand? He said Why didn't you let him go before you b brought him to me? (Daif)
صفوان بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ایک چادر ان کے سر کے نیچے سے چوری ہو گئی اور وہ مسجد نبوی میں سو رہے تھے، انہوں نے چور پکڑ لیا اور اسے لے کر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، آپ نے اس کا ہاتھ کاٹنے کا حکم دیا تو صفوان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: کیا آپ اس کا ہاتھ کاٹیں گے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تو پھر اسے میرے پاس لانے سے پہلے ہی کیوں نہ چھوڑ دیا“۔
It was narrated form 'Amr bin Shu'ainb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet said: Pardon matters that may deserve a Hadd punishment before you bring it to my attention, for whatever is brought to my attention, the Hadd punishment becomes binding. (Saif)
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”حدود کو میرے پاس آنے سے پہلے معاف کر دیا کرو، کیونکہ جس حد کا مقدمہ میرے پاس آیا، اس میں حد لازم ہو گئی“۔
It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib from his father, from' Abdullah bin 'Amr that the Messenger of Allah said: Pardon matters among yourselves that may deserve a Hadd punishment, for whatever is brought to my attention, the Hadd punishment b becomes binding. (Daif)
عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”حدود کو آپس ہی میں معاف کر دو، جب حد کی کوئی چیز میرے پاس پہنچ گئی تو وہ واجب ہو گئی“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that a Makhzumi woman used to borrow things then deny that she had borrowed them, so the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that her hand be cut off.
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
قبیلہ مخزوم کی ایک عورت لوگوں کا سامان مانگ لیتی تھی، پھر مکر جاتی تھی، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کا ہاتھ کاٹنے کا حکم دیا ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them said: There was a Makhzumi woman who used to borrow things, saying that her neighbors needed the, then she would deny that she had borrowed the, so the Messenger of Allah ordered that her hand be cut off
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
قبیلہ مخزوم کی ایک عورت پڑوسی عورتوں ( کی گواہیوں ) کے ذریعہ سامان مانگتی، پھر مکر جاتی تھی، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کا ہاتھ کاٹنے کا حکم دیا۔
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that: a woman used, to borrow jewelry from people then keep it. The Messenger of Allah said: Let this woman repent to Allah and His Messenger and give back to people what she has taken. Then the Messenge of Allah said Get up, O Bilal, take her hand and cut it off.
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
ایک عورت لوگوں کے زیورات مانگ لیتی پھر اسے رکھ لیتی، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اس عورت کو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے توبہ کرنی چاہیئے، اور جو کچھ لیتی ہے اسے لوگوں کو لوٹا دینا چاہیئے“، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بلال کھڑے ہو اور اس کا ہاتھ پکڑ کر کاٹ دو“۔
