It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Which of the people is best? He said: One who strives with himself and his wealth in the cause of Allah. He said: Then who, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Then a believer (isolating himself) in one of the mountain passes, who fears Allah and spares the people his evil.
ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
ایک شخص رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، اور کہا: اللہ کے رسول! لوگوں میں افضل کون ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”افضل وہ ہے جو اللہ کے راستے میں جان و مال سے جہاد کرے“، اس نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! پھر کون؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”پھر وہ مومن جو پہاڑوں کی کسی گھاٹی میں رہتا ہو، اللہ سے ڈرتا ہو، اور لوگوں کو ( ان سے دور رہ کر ) اپنے شر سے بچاتا ہو“۔
It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: in the year of Tabuk, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) addressed the people, while leaning against his mount. He said: 'Shall I not tell you of the best of the people and the worst of the people? Among the best of the people is a man who strives in the cause of Allah on the back of his horse, or on the back of his camel, or on his own two feet, until death comes to him. And among the worst of the people, is an immoral man (Fajir) who reads the Book of Allah but he does not refrain from doing anything bad because of it.'
ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
غزوہ تبوک کے سال رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی سواری سے پیٹھ لگائے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، آپ نے کہا: ”کیا میں تمہیں اچھے آدمی اور برے آدمی کی پہچان نہ بتاؤں؟ بہترین آدمی وہ ہے جو پوری زندگی اللہ کے راستے میں گھوڑے یا اونٹ کی پیٹھ پر سوار ہو کر یا اپنے قدموں سے چل کر کام کرے۔ اور لوگوں میں برا وہ فاجر شخص ہے جو کتاب اللہ ( قرآن ) تو پڑھتا ہے لیکن کتاب اللہ ( قرآن ) کی کسی چیز کا خیال نہیں کرتا“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: No man who weeps for fear of Allah will be touched by the Fire until the milk goes back into the udders. An the dust (of Jihad) in the cause of Allah, and the smoke of Hell, will never be combined in the nostrils of a Muslim.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
اللہ کے خوف سے رونے والے کو جہنم کی آگ اس وقت تک لقمہ نہیں بنا سکتی جب تک کہ ( تھن سے نکلا ہوا ) دودھ تھن میں واپس نہ پہنچا دیا جائے ۱؎، اور کسی مسلمان کے نتھنے میں جہاد کے راستے کا غبار اور جہنم کا دھواں کبھی اکٹھا نہیں ہو سکتے ۲؎۔
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: No man will enter the Fire who weeps for fear of Allah, Most High, until the milk goes back into the udders. And the dust (of Jihad) in the cause of Allah, and the smoke of Hell will never be combined.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کے خوف سے رونے والا شخص جہنم میں نہیں جا سکتا جب تک کہ دودھ تھن میں واپس نہ پہنچ جائے ۱؎، اور اللہ کے راستے کا گرد و غبار اور جہنم کی آگ کا دھواں اکٹھا نہیں ہو سکتے ۲؎۔
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Two will never be gathered together in the Fire: A Muslim who killed a disbeliever then tried his best and did not deviate. And two will never be gathered together in the lungs of a believer: Dust in the cause of Allah, and the odor of Hell. And two will never be gathered in the heart of a salve: Faith and envy.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مسلمان جس نے کسی کافر کو قتل کر دیا، اور آخر تک ایمان و عقیدہ اور عمل کی درستگی پر قائم رہا تو وہ دونوں ( یعنی مومن قاتل اور کافر مقتول ) جہنم میں اکٹھا نہیں ہو سکتے۔ اور نہ ہی کسی مومن کے سینے میں اللہ کے راستے کا گردوغبار اور جہنم کی آگ کی لپٹ و حرارت اکٹھا ہوں گے ۱؎، اور کسی بندے کے دل میں ایمان اور حسد جمع نہیں ہو سکتے“ ۲؎۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The dust in the cause of Allah and the smoke of Hell will never be combined in the lungs of a slave, and the stinginess and faith can never be combined in a slave's heart.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جہاد کا غبار اور جہنم کا دھواں دونوں کسی بندے کے سینے میں کبھی جمع نہیں ہو سکتے اور بخل اور ایمان یہ دونوں بھی کسی بندے کے دل میں کبھی جمع نہیں ہو سکتے“۔
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The dust in the cause of Allah and the smoke of Hell will never be combined in a man's face, and stinginess and faith can never be combined in a slave's heart.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کسی آدمی کے چہرے پر اللہ کے راستے ( یعنی جہاد ) میں نکلنے کی گرد اور جہنم کی آگ دونوں اکٹھا نہیں ہو سکتے، اور بخل اور ایمان کبھی کسی بندے کے دل میں جمع نہیں ہو سکتے“۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The dust in the cause of Allah and the smoke of Hell will never be combined in a slave's lungs, and stinginess and faith can never be combined in a slave's heart.'
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جہاد کی گرد اور جہنم کا دھواں دونوں کسی بندے کے سینے میں جمع نہیں ہو سکتے، اور نہ ہی کسی بندے کے سینے میں بخل اور ایمان اکٹھا ہو سکتے ہیں“۔
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The dust in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and the smoke of Hell will never be combined in the nostrils of a Muslim.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مومن کے نتھنے میں اللہ کے راستے کا غبار، اور جہنم کا دھواں کبھی بھی جمع نہیں ہو سکتے“۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The dust in the cause of Allah and the smoke of Hell will never be combined in the nostrils of a Muslim, and stinginess and faith will never be combined in a Muslim man's heart.'
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کے راستے کا غبار اور جہنم کا دھواں دونوں مومن کے نتھنے میں جمع نہیں ہو سکتے، اور نہ ہی کسی مسلمان کے نتھنے میں بخل اور ایمان اکٹھا ہو سکتے ہیں“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Abu Al-'Ala' bin Al-Lajlaj that he heard Abu Hurairah say: Allah will never combine the dust in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and the smoke of Hell, in the lungs of a Muslim man, and Allah will never combine faith in Allah, and stinginess in the heart of a Muslim man.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
اللہ کے راستے کا غبار اور جہنم کا دھواں کسی مسلمان شخص کے پیٹ میں اللہ عزوجل اکٹھا نہ کرے گا، اور نہ ہی کسی مسلمان کے دل میں اللہ پر ایمان اور بخالت ( کنجوسی ) کو اللہ تعالیٰ ایک ساتھ جمع کرے گا۔
Yazid bin Abi Mariam said: Abayah bin Rafi' met me when I was walking to Friday prayers, and he said: 'Rejoice, for these steps you are taking are in the cause of Allah. I heard Abu 'Abs say: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Anyone whose feet become dusty in the cause of Allah, he will be forbidden to the Fire.'
یزید بن ابی مریم کہتے ہیں کہ
میں جمعہ کی نماز کے لیے جا رہا تھا کہ ( راستے میں ) مجھے عبایہ بن رافع ملے، کہا: خوش ہو جاؤ! آپ کے یہ قدم اللہ کے راستے میں اٹھ رہے ہیں ( کیونکہ ) میں نے ابوعبس بن جبر انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس کے دونوں قدم اللہ کے راستے میں گرد آلود ہو جائیں تو وہ آگ یعنی جہنم کے لیے حرام ہے“ ۱؎۔
Abu 'Ali At-Tujibi (said) that he heard Abu Raihanah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'The eye that stays awake in the cause of Allah will be forbidden to the Fire.'
ابوریحانہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے: ”جو آنکھ اللہ کے راستے میں جاگی ہو وہ آنکھ جہنم پر حرام ہے“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated that Sahl bin Sa'd said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Going out before noon or after noon, in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is better than this world and everything in it.'
سہل بن سعد رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کے راستے یعنی جہاد میں صبح یا شام ( کسی وقت بھی نکلنا ) دنیا وما فیہا سے افضل و بہتر ہے“۔
It was narrated from Abu 'Abdur-Rahman Al-Hubuli that he heard Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari say: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Going out before noon and after noon, in the cause of Allah, is better than everything on which the sun rises and sets.'
ابوایوب انصاری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جہاد میں صبح کو نکلنا ہو، یا شام کے وقت یہ کائنات کی ان تمام چیزوں سے افضل و برتر ہے جن پر سورج نکلتا اور ڈوبتا ہے“۔
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are three, all of whom have a promise of help from Allah: 'The Mujahid who strives in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime; the man who gets married, seeking to keep himself chaste; and the slave who has a contract of manumission and wants to buy his freedom.'
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تین طرح کے لوگ ہیں جن کی مدد اللہ تعالیٰ پر حق اور واجب ہے، ( ایک ) اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد کرنے والا ( دوسرا ) ایسا نکاح کرنے والا، جو نکاح کے ذریعہ پاکدامنی کی زندگی گزارنا چاہتا ہو ( تیسرا ) وہ مکاتب ۱؎ جو مکاتبت کی رقم ادا کر کے آزاد ہو جانے کی کوشش کر رہا ہو“۔
Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The guests of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, are three: The warrior, the pilgrim performing Hajj, and the pilgrim performing 'Umrah.'
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ کے وفد میں تین ( طرح کے لوگ شامل ) ہیں ( ایک ) مجاہد ( دوسرا ) حاجی، ( تیسرا ) عمرہ کرنے والا“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has guaranteed to the one who strives in His cause, only going out for Jihad in His cause, and believing in His Word, that He will admit him to Paradise, or bring him back to his home from which he emerged, with whatever he has earned of reward, or spoils of war.
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ اپنی راہ کے مجاہد کا کفیل و ضامن ہے جو خالص جہاد ہی کی نیت سے گھر سے نکلتا ہے، اور اس ایمان و یقین کے ساتھ نکلتا ہے کہ یا تو اللہ تعالیٰ اسے ( شہید کا درجہ دے کر ) جنت میں داخل فرمائے گا یا پھر اسے ثواب اور مال غنیمت کے ساتھ اس کے اس ٹھکانے پر واپس لائے گا، جہاں سے نکل کر وہ جہاد میں شریک ہوا تھا“۔
Abu Hurairah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'Allah has guaranteed: 'For the one who goes out in the cause of Allah, and nothing makes him do that except faith in Me, and Jihad in My cause - that He will admit him to Paradise whether he is killed or he dies, or He will return him to his home from which he departed with whatever he has earned of reward or spoils of war.'
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایسے شخص کو جو اس کے راستے میں نکلتا ہے ( یعنی جہاد کے لیے ) اور اس کا یہ نکلنا محض اللہ پر اپنے ایمان کے تقاضے، اور اس کے راستے میں جہاد کے جذبے سے ہے ( تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایسے شخص کو ) اپنے ذمہ لے لیا ہے کہ میں اسے جنت میں داخل کروں گا چاہے وہ قتل ہو کر مرا ہو، یا اپنی فطری موت پائی ہو، یا میں اسے اس اجر و ثواب اور مال غنیمت کے ساتھ جو اسے ملا ہو، اور جو بھی ملا ہو، اس کے اپنے اس گھر پر واپس پہنچا دوں گا جہاں سے وہ جہاد کے لیے نکلا تھا“۔
Abu Hurairah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'The parable of Mujahid (who strives in the cause of Allah) - and Allah knows best who strives in teh cause of Allah - is that of one who fasts and prays Qiyam (continually). Allah has promised Mujahid (who strives in His cause), that He will either cause him to die and admit him to paradise, or, He will bring him back safely with whatever he had earned of reward or spoils of war.'
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے: ”اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد کرنے والے کی مثال ( اور اللہ کو معلوم ہے کہ اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد کرنے والا کون ہے ) دن بھر روزہ رکھنے والے اور رات میں عبادت کرنے والے کی مثال ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجاہد فی سبیل اللہ کے لیے ذمہ لیا ہے کہ اسے موت دے گا، تو اسے جنت میں داخل کرے گا یا ( موت نہیں دے گا تو ) صحیح و سالم حالت میں اجر و ثواب اور مال غنیمت کے ساتھ جو اسے حاصل ہوا ہے اسے واپس اس کے گھر بھیج دے گا“۔
