It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said, : Concerning the statement of Allah, the Most High: The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger. This Verse was revealed concerning the idolators. Whoever among them repents before he is captured, you have no way against him. This Verse does not apply to the Muslims. Whoever kills, spreads mischief in the land, and wages war against Allah and His Messenger, then joins the disbelievers before he can be caught, there is nothing to prevent the Hadd punishment being carried out on him because of what he did.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما
آیت کریمہ «إنما جزاء الذين يحاربون اللہ ورسوله» ”ان لوگوں کا بدلہ جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے لڑتے ہیں …“ کے سلسلے میں کہتے ہیں کہ یہ آیت مشرکین کے سلسلے میں نازل ہوئی، پس ان میں سے جو شخص توبہ کرنے سے پہلے اسے پکڑا جائے تو اس کو سزا دینے کا کوئی جواز نہیں، یہ آیت مسلمان شخص کے لیے نہیں ہے، پس جو ( مسلمان ) زمین میں فساد پھیلائے اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے لڑے، پھر پکڑے جانے سے پہلے کفار سے مل جائے تو اس کی جو بھی حد ہو گی، اس کے نفاذ میں کوئی چیز رکاوٹ نہیں ہو گی ۱؎۔
It was narrated from 'Aishah that: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim except in three cases: An adulterer who had been married, who should be stoned to death; a man who killed another man intentionally, who should be killed; and a man who left Islam and waged war against Allah, the Might and Sublime, and His Messenger, who should be killed, or crucified, or banished from the land.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کسی مسلمان شخص کا خون حلال نہیں مگر تین صورتوں میں: ایک تو شادی شدہ زانی کو رجم کیا جائے گا، دوسرے وہ شخص جس نے کسی شخص کو جان بوجھ کر قتل کیا تو اسے قتل کیا جائے گا، تیسرے وہ شخص جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے لڑتے ہوئے اسلام سے مرتد ہو جائے، تو اسے سولی دی جائے گی، یا جلا وطن کر دیا جائے گا“۔
It was narrated that Jarir said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'If a slave runs away, no Salah will be accepted from him until he goes back to his masters.'

جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب غلام بھاگ جائے تو اس کی نماز قبول نہیں ہو گی یہاں تک کہ وہ اپنے مالک کے پاس لوٹ آئے“ ۱؎۔
Jarir used to narrate from the Prophet [SAW]: If a slave runs away, no Salah will be accepted from him, and if he dies he will die a disbeliever. A slave of Jarir's ran away, and he caught him and struck his neck (killing him).

جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب غلام بھاگ جائے تو اس کی نماز قبول نہیں ہو گی، اور اگر وہ مر گیا تو وہ کفر کی حالت میں مرا“۔ اور جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کا ایک غلام بھاگ گیا تو آپ نے اسے پکڑا اور اس کی گردن اڑا دی۔
It was narrated that Jarir said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'If a slave runs away to the land of Shirk, it becomes permissible to shed his blood.'

جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب غلام مشرکوں کی زمین میں بھاگ کر چلا جائے تو اس کا خون حلال ہے“۔
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: 'Uthman said: I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim except in three cases: A man who commits adultery after having married; or one who kills intentionally, in which case he deserves retaliation; or one who apostatizes after having become Muslim, in which case he deserves to be killed.'

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا کہ کسی مسلمان کا خون حلال نہیں مگر تین صورتوں میں: ایک وہ شخص جس نے شادی شدہ ہونے کے بعد زنا کیا تو اسے رجم کیا جائے گا، یا جس نے جان بوجھ کر قتل کیا تو اس کو اس کے بدلے میں قتل کیا جائے گا، یا وہ شخص جو اسلام لانے کے بعد مرتد ہو گیا، تو اسے بھی قتل کیا جائے گا۔
It was narrated that 'Uthman bin 'Affan said: I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim except in three cases: A man who commits adultery after having married; or one who kills another person, who is to be killed; or who reverts to Kufr after having accepted Islam, who is to be killed.'

عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: ”کسی مسلمان شخص کا خون حلال نہیں تین صورتوں کے سوائے: یہ کہ وہ شادی شدہ ہونے کے بعد زنا کرے، یا وہ کسی انسان کو قتل کرے تو اسے قتل کیا جائے یا وہ اسلام لانے کے بعد کافر ( مرتد ) ہو جائے تو اسے قتل کیا جائے“۔
It was narrated from 'Ikrimah: Some people apostatized after accepting Islam, and 'Ali burned them with fire. Ibn 'Abbas said: 'If it had been me, I would not have burned them; the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'No one should be punished with the punishment of Allah.' If it had been me, I would have killed them; the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever changes his religion, kill him.'

عکرمہ سے روایت ہے کہ
کچھ لوگ اسلام سے پھر گئے ۱؎ تو انہیں علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے آگ میں جلا دیا۔ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: اگر میں ہوتا تو انہیں نہ جلاتا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: ”تم کسی کو اللہ کا عذاب نہ دو“، اگر میں ہوتا تو انہیں قتل کرتا ( کیونکہ ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: ”جو اپنا دین بدل ڈالے اسے قتل کر دو“۔
It was narrated that Al-Hasan said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever changes his religion, kill him.'

حسن بصری کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے اپنا دین بدلا اسے قتل کر دو“۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن نسائی کہتے ہیں: یہ عباد کی حدیث کی بہ نسبت صواب کے زیادہ قریب ہے ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Anas that : 'Ali came to some people of Az-Zutt, who worshipped idols, and burned them. Ibn 'Abbas said: But the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever changes his religion, kill him.'

انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس کچھ جاٹ لائے گئے جو بت پوجتے تھے تو آپ نے انہیں جلا دیا ۱؎ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تو بس اتنا کہا تھا ”جس نے اپنا دین بدل لیا، اسے قتل کر دو“۔
