It was narrated that Abu Bakr bin Musa said: I was with Salim bin 'Abdullah when Salim narrated from his father, that the Prophet [SAW] said: 'The angels do not accompany groups of people who have small bells with them.'

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”فرشتے ایسے قافلوں کے ساتھ نہیں چلتے جن کے ساتھ گھنگھرو ہوں“۔
Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet [SAW], said: I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'The angels do not enter a house in which there is a small bell, or a bell, and the angels do not accompany groups of people who have bells with them.'

ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”اس گھر میں فرشتے داخل نہیں ہوتے، جس میں گھنگھرو یا گھنٹہ ہو، اور نہ فرشتے ایسے قافلوں کے ساتھ چلتے ہیں جن کے ساتھ گھنٹی ہو“۔
It was narrated from Abu Al-Ahwas that his father said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and he saw that I was dressed in scruffy clothes. He said: 'Do you have any wealth?' I said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah, all kinds of wealth.' He said: 'If Allah gives you wealth then let its effect be seen on you.'

ابوالاحوص کے والد مالک بن نضلہ جشمی رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ
میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا، آپ نے مجھے پھٹے کپڑے پہنے دیکھا تو فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے پاس مال و دولت ہے؟“ میں نے کہا: جی ہاں، اللہ کے رسول! سب کچھ ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”جب تمہیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے سب کچھ دیا ہے تو اس کے آثار بھی تمہارے اوپر ہونے چاہئیں“ ۱؎۔
It was narrated from Abu Al-Ahwas, from his father, : That he came to the Prophet [SAW] wearing shabby clothes. The Prophet [SAW] said to him: Do you have any wealth? He said: Yes, all kinds of wealth. He said: What kinds of wealth? He said: Allah has given me camels, cattle, sheep, horses and slaves. He said: If Allah has given you wealth, then let the effect of Allah's blessing and generosity be seen on you.

ابوالاحوص کے والد مالک بن نضلہ جشمی رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ
وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس گھٹیا کپڑے پہن کر آئے۔ تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے پاس مال و دولت ہے؟“ وہ بولے: جی ہاں، سب کچھ ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”کس طرح کا مال ہے؟“ وہ بولے: اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے اونٹ، بکریاں، گھوڑے اور غلام عطا کئے ہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہیں مال و دولت سے نوازا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ کی نعمت اور اس کے فضل کے تم پر آثار بھی دکھائی دینے چاہیئے“۔
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said to me: 'Five things are from the Fitrah: Trimming the mustache, plucking the armpit hairs, clipping the nails, shaving the pubes and circumcision.'

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
مجھ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”پانچ چیزیں دین فطرت میں سے ہیں: مونچھ کاٹنا، بغل کے بال اکھیڑنا، ناخن کترنا، ناف کے نیچے کے بال مونڈنا اور ختنہ کرنا“۔
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Ja'far said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] stayed away from the family of Ja'far (when he died) for three days, then he came to them, and said: 'Do not weep for my brother after today.' Then he said: 'Call my brother's sons to me.' We were brought like little chicks, and he said: 'Call the barber for me.' Then he ordered that our heads be shaved.

عبداللہ بن جعفر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آل جعفر کو یہ کہہ کر کہ آپ ان کے پاس آئیں گے تین روز تک ( رونے اور غم منانے کی ) اجازت دی ۱؎، پھر آپ ان کے پاس آئے اور فرمایا: ”آج کے بعد میرے بھائی پر مت روؤ“، پھر فرمایا: ”میرے بھائی کے بچوں کو بلاؤ“۔ چنانچہ ہمیں لایا گیا گویا ہم چوزے بہت چھوٹے تھے پھر آپ نے فرمایا: ”نائی کو بلاؤ“، پھر آپ نے ہمارے سر مونڈنے کا حکم دیا۔
It was narrated that Al-Bara' said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] was a man of average height with broad shoulders, a thick beard and a reddish complexion, and his hair came down to his earlobes. I saw him in a red Hullah and I never saw anything more handsome than him.

براء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم درمیانے قد کے، چوڑے مونڈھوں اور گھنی داڑھی والے تھے، آپ کے بدن پر کچھ سرخی ظاہر تھی، سر کے بال کان کی لو تک تھے ۱؎، میں نے آپ کو لال جوڑا پہنے ہوئے دیکھا اور آپ سے زیادہ کسی کو خوبصورت نہیں دیکھا۔
It was narrated that Al-Bara' said: I never saw any long haired man in a Hullah who was more handsome than the Messenger of Allah [SAW], and he had hair that came down to his shoulders.

براء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے کسی بال والے کو لباس پہنے ہوئے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے زیادہ خوبصورت نہیں دیکھا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بال مونڈھوں کے قریب تھے۔
It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: The Prophet [SAW] came to us and saw a man with wild hair. He said: 'Could this man not find anything with which to calm down his hair?'

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
ہمارے پاس نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آئے، آپ نے ایک شخص کو دیکھا، اس کے سر کے بال الجھے ہوئے تھے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا اس کے پاس کوئی چیز نہیں ہے جس سے اپنے بال ٹھیک رکھ سکے؟“۔
It was narrated that Abu Qatadah said: That he had long thick hair. He asked the Prophet (about it) and he told him to take care of it and comb it every day.

ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ان کے بال بڑے بڑے تھے، انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا تو آپ نے حکم دیا: ”انہیں اچھی طرح رکھو اور ہر روز کنگھی کرو“۔
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] used to let his hair hang down (without a parting) and the Mushrikun used to part their hair. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] liked to act in accordance with the People of the Book, in matters where no specific command had been given to him. Then the Messenger of Allah [SAW] parted his hair after that.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے بال چھوڑ دیتے تھے اور کفار و مشرکین بالوں میں مانگ نکالتے تھے، آپ ایسے معاملات میں جن میں کوئی حکم نہ ملتا اہل کتاب ( یہود و نصاری ) کی موافقت پسند فرماتے تھے، پھر اس کے بعد آپ نے بھی مانگ نکالی۔
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that: A man from among the Companions of the Prophet [SAW] who was called 'Ubaid said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] used to forbid too much of Al-Irfah. Ibn Buraidah was asked what too much of Al-Irfah meant, and he said: It includes combing the hair.

عبید نامی ایک صحابی رسول رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم «ارفاہ» ( بہت زیادہ عیش میں پڑ جانے ) سے منع فرماتے تھے۔ عبداللہ بن بریدہ سے پوچھا گیا: «ارفاہ» کیا ہے؟ کہا: «ارفاہ» میں ( ہر روز ) کنگھی کرنا بھی شامل ہے ۱؎۔
It was narrated from 'Aishah that: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] liked to start on the right whenever possible; when purifying himself, when putting on his shoes, and when combing his hair.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم طاقت بھر دائیں طرف سے شروع کرنا پسند فرماتے تھے: وضو کرنے، جوتے پہننے اور کنگھی کرنے ( وغیرہ امور ) میں۔
